Having developed a passion for cooking at a very young age , it was a natural progression for me to become a chef. I loved everything about the restaurant business. I managed to work in some of Vancouver’s best restaurants while putting myself through Dubrulle Culinary school. My love for local farm to table was really ignited when I was hired as executive chef at The Raintree at The Landing and has stuck with me for the last 25 years. I am grateful to have worked with great teachers and mentors over the years, which have lead me to my own achievements like recipes being published in 4 cookbooks, a guest chef on morning tv. I cooked for celebrities such as Paul Rogers , Priscilla Presley, Joni Mitchell, Marcus Samuelsson and President Bill Clinton . I obtain holistic nutrition certificate which gives me insight in specialized food requirements. I Worked in London and Bermuda where I met my wife and had our beautiful family. I created and branded both The Vanilla Pod and Union Kitchen inc. The Vanilla Pod voted by Sauver magazine as one of the top 14 restaurants to visit in BC . Union Kitchen inc voted best new business
And a must to visit in the Okanagan.
This business has given me the opportunity to work in many different venues and meet many interesting and wonderful people along the way . I still have the passion I started with many years ago, and hope for you to join us at 1908 to create some more great memories around the dining table .
