Welcome to Bistro Lapin Perdu—where a love for good food, great wine, and even better company comes together under one nostalgic roof.
Once upon a time (or, more precisely, since 1908), the Naramata Inn has stood as a treasured landmark on Okanagan Lake—a place where memories are made, milestones toasted, and stories shared. But when its doors quietly closed in early 2025, something special was missing from the heart of the village.
Enter two long-time friends of the Okanagan food scene: Christopher Royal and Michael Ziff. With a vision full of charm and a deep affection for their community, they dreamed up a fresh chapter for the Inn—one filled with whimsy and laughter, lakeside leisure, and French countryside magic. And so, Bistro Lapin Perdu was born.
Lapin Perdu—French for Lost Rabbit—is both a nod to discovery and a playful invitation to wander. It’s the kind of place where you might pop in for a glass of wine and lose track of time over warm conversation and steak frites. A bistro built on welcoming locals home and inviting guests to stay awhile.
So come on in. Our doors are open to sip, savour and stay a while…
Reflecting the whimsy, elegance, and artistry of a classic French bistro, we designed our menu to dazzle and delight the tastebuds—afterall, life is meant to be enjoyed, and what better way than with good food and even better company? Playing off our heritage you find familiar French dishes with a touch of Quebecoise flair, a beverage list that honours local Okanagan businesses while highlighting European tastes, and thoughtfully crafted dishes that provide diverse, flavourful options to please everyone at the table. Bon appétit!
Please Note: French & Québecois food, with its generous use of dairy and various proteins, creates a unique challenge in accommodating our vegan guests. We will always try our best but please note that options remain very limited. Please contact us via email should you wish to inquire about features that may appear throughout the summer.
We’re keeping things old-school. Give us a call or email at hello@lapinperdu.ca to reserve your table and we’ll put you in the big book (please include preferred date, time, number of guests and contact mobile phone).
Walk-ins are always welcome and seated according to availability. Please note, if we are busy and fully committed with reservations, we may be unable to accommodate walk-ins but we’ll always do our best.
Come as you are—we can’t wait to welcome you.
